What grades is it for?
Middle school and high school, grades 6–12. Each lesson includes separate exam questions for grades 6–8 and 9–12.
What equipment do I need?
Four tables of the same size for each group (cafeteria tables, folding tables or classroom desks all work) and tennis balls. Many teachers use softer foam or low-compression balls for the lead-up games. Want a dedicated set? Official table build plans are $29.
How many students can play at once?
In Freestyle rotation, up to about 12 students per set of four tables keeps the line moving quickly. Add more sets of tables for bigger classes.
How long is the unit?
About 10 to 11 class days of 30 to 50 minutes, plus optional tournament days. You can shorten or extend it; the lesson overview explains how.
How do I get the file?
