  • Hands-on teaching: your group learns the game and plays it the same day
  • Anywhere: across the U.S., in Australia, at conferences worldwide, or online

What we do

Show it. Teach it. Talk about it.

Pick one, or combine them. A conference session might open with a talk and finish with the audience on the tables.

Live demonstration

Four players, four tables, one ball. We play real points at full speed and explain the serve, the two hits and the scoring as the rallies happen. It's the quickest way for a room to understand the game.

Teach the game

A hands-on clinic for students, campers, staff or conference attendees. We cover the serve, two hits and the rotation, then get everyone into the line. Most groups are playing within minutes.

Talks and keynotes

The story of a game invented in a classroom in Georgetown, Kentucky, in 2005, and what it takes to bring something new to a group: no bench, no experts, and teamwork built into every point.

Teacher workshops

Professional development for P.E. teachers: setting up courts, teaching progressions, managing a big class with Freestyle rotation, and running a unit with the P.E. Lesson Plans, aligned to SHAPE America 2024.

Two coaches and two students play Hantis on four tables, two blue and two red, set in a square in a gym while the rest of the class watches in pinnies

Where we go

Schools to world conferences.

If your group could use a new game, or wants to hear how one gets started, we'd like to hear about your event.

Schools

P.E. classes, assemblies, field days and intramurals. Teach a class, or show the whole school at once.

Camps

Day camps, summer camps and sports camps. Start a court for free time, or kick off a cabin-vs-cabin tournament.

Churches

Youth groups, lock-ins and retreats. A game where first-time visitors start on the same level as everyone else.

Professional development

In-service days and district PD for P.E. and physical activity staff: a session teachers can use with their classes the next day.

Company retreats

A team-building game that's new to everyone. Each player gets two hits, and the best way to score is to pass to your teammate.

SHAPE America and AHPERD

Sessions at SHAPE America events and state AHPERD conventions: demonstrations, hands-on sessions and talks.

P.E. conferences in the U.S.

State, regional and national Physical Education conferences, conventions and workshops anywhere in the United States.

P.E. events in Australia

Physical Education conferences, teacher PD days and school events across Australia.

Conferences worldwide

International conferences on physical education, sport, recreation, youth work and education.

Teleconferencing too

  • Talks, Q&A and teacher workshops on Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet or your event's platform
  • A live walk-through of the rules and the setup before your group plays for the first time
  • Watch your group play on camera, then get coaching tips in real time
  • Works for any time zone, and for events where travel isn't possible
Available worldwide

Questions

Booking FAQ

What can the Hantis team do at our event?

Four things, alone or together: a live demonstration of the game at full speed, a hands-on clinic where your group learns and plays, a talk or keynote, and a workshop for P.E. teachers on running a Hantis unit. We plan each visit around your audience, your space and your schedule.

Do you travel outside the United States?

Yes. We're available for events across the United States, for Physical Education events in Australia and for conferences worldwide. Tell us where and when in the request form and we'll work out the details with you.

Can you do a session by video call?

Yes. We can present, teach and answer questions on Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet or the platform your event uses. A video call works well for conferences in other time zones, staff meetings and classes that want to learn the game before they play.

What do we need to provide for an in-person visit?

For a demonstration or clinic: a gym, hall or outdoor space, four tables of the same size for each court (rule 1.0.1) and tennis balls. For a talk: a screen and sound for video. Tell us what you have in the request form and we'll confirm everything before the day. See the setup guide.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the event, the format and any travel. Send us the details in the request form and we'll reply by email with what we can offer.

Can you present at a state AHPERD convention or a SHAPE America event?

Yes. Send us the convention name, dates, location and session format, including any proposal deadline, and we'll plan a demonstration, hands-on session or talk that fits.

How far ahead should we ask?

As early as you can, especially for conferences with proposal deadlines and for anything that needs travel. Video calls can usually be arranged sooner.

Four tables. One ball. Two hits.
